I was not sure which size to get. I am happy with the larger (blue) one. The picture with the yorkie makes it seem kind of small, but it is a nicely roomy size. My pug is over weight at 18 pounds, and she has plenty of room to sit and lay down. The leash is long enough to allow her to move when it is attached to her harness.
My dog was a little afraid of being inside the carrier when in the house. I was trying to let her get used to it, but once I had it in the car she was fine. I belted it in first and keep the top rolled back. I put her in feet first through the top and click the leash on her harness. She likes the option of being able to have her head out the top. She actually has enough room and movement to be on her hind legs with front paws on the top edge of the carrier. She also likes lying down and can still see through the mesh sides, and I can see her for monitoring.
