Review : Fine for moderate joint/arthritis issues; but better options are available for severe situations
I feel that Glyco-Flex III is probably a great supplement for dogs with mild to moderate joint or arthritis issues...but it was insufficient for more severe situations such as my large German Shepherd. The following review of it and other products is probably too lengthy of a read for those owners of dogs with moderate problems; but thought I'd include it in case it might help someone who hasn't found anything else that will work for their dog.
I first noticed my pup walking funny when he was 11-12 weeks old. Took him to vet who suspected genetic hip problems. By the time he was 5 months old, he looked like an old arthritic dog when he tried to get up from a down position. He still had all the enthusiasm of a young pup -- his body was just not cooperating. So he was x-rayed which showed severe hip dysplasia (with arthritis already settling in) when he was just 5 months old...basically his hip joints were completely malformed.
